Thanks Glenn, I understood what you are saying...
but my doubt was .... generally while deciding the Account dimension hierarchy how we decide which accounts to place in Statistical accounts and which to place in PNL parent. My doubt is more inclined toward the functional prospects rather than technical.
This is dictated by needs and requirements. I typically put calcualtions and members that do not relate to others in statistical. Things like Gross Margin % and FTEs. Obivously, we will put in the Income statement into a P&L hierarchy and Balance Sheet into a Balance sheet hierarchy. WE will put into drivers, those members that are used in calculations to affect other members.1 person found this helpful
