I was wondering what if any technical similarities exist between Oracle EBS and Oracle fusion apps. I am trying to understand what skills I have as an Oracle EBS developer could be applicaable when I eventually switch over to fusion.
I know PL/SQL and SQL will still be used but will the tables and any API's remain from EBS? I understand best features from EBS, JDE and Peoplsoft are included in fusion but from my understanding EBS is used a a base more than the others. I am guessing this means at least some tables will remain the same but I have not been able to confirm this.
I also am aware that ADF is used instead of forms and JSP's for front-end development.
The only two technical carry-overs (that I know of) from EBS to Fusion are Weblogic server and BI Publisher. Forms/Reports/Developer have been eliminated and there is no guarantee that EBS tables are carried over to Fusion. OAF pages have been converted to ADF technology.
