    OSB is not able to mount the tape on the drive

    veijar
      We are using Solaris10 with Oracle Secure Backup10.4 and the tape library is SL24 Autoloader.

      Our problem is when we firing the filesystem backup from OSB10.4, Tapelibrary status is showing loading and unloading. OSB is not able to mount the tape on the drive.
      but we can able to fire the FS backup with some media families.

      Note: There is no barcode on all the tapes.

          Hi SAM

          If you having bar-code on the MEDIA had then it should work , is the Tape getting labeled by OSB ?. The SL24 is getting loading and unloading because it is not able to load particular media.
          so i will suggest Label the media and associate with particular media family .

          Manually Labeling a Volume
          ============================
          below example reserves the tape in storage element 4 in tape library lib1 for use by media family mf_incr.

          ob> insertvol unlabeled --library lib1 4
          ob> labelvol drive tape1 obtaropt -Xfam:mf_incr 4
          =============================

          Best Regards
