I'm completely new to the 12c upgrade process. Our repository database is 184.108.40.206 and it's in a Physical Data Guard configuration. I assume this means that we can proceed with a Two System upgrade. We have a 10.2.0.5 OMS running on both the primary and standby server, with an F5 load balancer. I have already applied the pre-upgrade patch and have access to the 12C Upgrade Console in EM 10.2.0.5 Grid.
My question is regarding the next step. I think it's to deploy at least one 12c Agent for testing purposes. I'm not quite sure when I need to 'break' the standby propagation in this upgrade process. Any guidance with an outline of the process would be appreciated.
I've read several pieces of documentation but nothing specific for a data guard configuration. Thanks in advance for the help.
You donnt have to break your standby propogation for upgrading the EM.. In case of a multi-OMS environment, if the host on which you plan to install OMS12c is managed by a slb then you to have to provide Server Load Balancer (SLB) configured for your OMS 12c Release 1 (220.127.116.11.0) in the section - Identifying Host for Enterprise Manager Cloud Control
Then, enter the fully qualified name, and the secure and unsecure upload ports of the host where the SLB is running.
Once you provide these details the pre-upgarde console will pick them and use it to confiure the 12c agents.
