    Web Service Control

    user8611954
      Hello,

we using jdev 11.1.1.6 and created a web service data control. By mistake, we shuffled all the seven Methods during the WSDC wizard. We actually needed only one method out of those seven.

Now, WS data control is already created (with seven methonds in it) and we really want to remove, six methods from it. Just keep one we need.

we right click data control, OR go to .cpx OR go to .dcx did everything. No where did we find a way to remove those unwanted six Methods. How can we do this now ?

We know simple answer is : Create the data control again running the wizard and selecting only one method that you want. But that is not what we like to do. We looking for way in Jdev that will enable us to remove those unwanted methods in this already created control. any way.

      thanks,

You can remove those unwanted methods temporarily in ejb or whatever and update the data control. or open project location in windows explore and delete all the generated java files and re-create DC. or manually delete everything including entries in connections.xml (risky).

Ours is web service data control created using WSDL. service running somewhere remote.

All below options are non - standard and risky. How cannnot jdev has wizard based option to remove those Methods ? It let u create, then it does not let u remove few methods safely ?

open project location in windows explore and delete all the generated java files and re-create DC. or manually delete everything including entries in connections.xml (risky).

I beleive you would need to clean your DataControls.dcx file to remove the unwanted methods
