    import data using impdp command

      Hi All,

      i am importing the data from source to destination. In destination all the tables are already existing and also there is no data in tables. those tables all are empty. so i dont want tables creation again, i want to import only data not metadata. so i am using below command to import data. could anyone please let me know if the below command is correct or not? if it is not correct could you please send me the correct command.

      impdp user/pass@databasename schemas=sourceschemaname remap_schema=sourceschemaname:destinationschemaname directory=directoryname dumpfile=source.dmp logfile=impdp_data.log TABLE_EXISTS_ACTION=TRUNCATE CONTENT=DATA_ONLY

          If tables have foreign keys this will likely fail due to foreign key constraints. http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e22490/dp_import.htm#SUTIL936 says:

          When you use TRUNCATE or REPLACE, ensure that rows in the affected tables are not targets of any referential constraints.

          You could try to:
          1. disable related foreign key constraints
          2. run IMPDP
          3. enable related foreign key constraints
