Indeed it is possible to manage multiple developers in an AW at the same time. There are slight differences between versions. (Our product only supports back to 10.2 for multi/simultaneous developer). As David said, you need to manage what you do carefully since you don't want things out of sync. What specifically are you trying to do?
OOPS - My apologies, you were asking specifically with regards to AWM and my answer was not directed at that (the mutli-developer comment caught too much of my attention).
In AWM you have access to command mode (worksheet) and can edit programs etc and run commands, and although you can attach an aw in r/m mode - you need to pay attention to acquire/release functionality specifically with regards to keeping things in sync. Also different types of objects/operations require RW access while others can be done in multi. We don't use AWM for this type of thing.

Thanks very much guys..This should help us.
To give more insight on what we are trying to do..we have a group of developers to develop different cubes parallely however they will use the common dimensions..
The tip that you have mentioned should help us. Thanks very much
OK - first an apology in advance for what hopefully is not too much of a shameless plug, as an Oracle Partner I hope this is OK. Escendo Architect is a multi-developer application that manages all the above transparently for the developers. Multiple developers managing dimensions, cubes, measures, programs, models, surrogates etc etc in the same AW at the same time. We use it to develop our product code. It even integrates (optionally) with svn.
