    New Setup

      All

I've been reading a lot about iSetup and I must admit I am confused about 1 thing.

On this page https://blogs.oracle.com/stevenChan/entry/ten_ways_of_using_isetup_to_st it states

'A first time EBS implementation involves a manual setup using either Business Accelerators or a manual entry. iSetup can help jump-start such implementation scenarios by loading a CRP instance from an industry best practice configuration.'

Does this mean we could create a CRP instance in our sandbox in our office, then create the same instance on a client site? These environment would not be linked by dbc files etc?

I don't think this is possible from my understanding but if it is, it would be excellent.

Your help and views are very much appreciated?

Pl post details of OS, database and EBS versions.

iSetup has the ability to migrate setups and data from one instance to another. See http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E18727_01/doc.121/e12899/T352902T352905.htm#2683576

What do you mean by "create a CRP instance in our sandbox in our office, then create the same instance on a client site"? You need to do a fresh installation on the client side then migrate the setup using iSetup.
These environment would not be linked by dbc files etc?
They would not be linked by dbc files.

              Thanks,
