Can any one help me regarding this issue
I had deleted the quorum device by mistake completely which was a volume assigned from the Storage 6140 to the server
I deleted it completely from the storage
I didn't notice that this was the quorum device
but it kept working until the 1st restart and the nodes refused to join the cluster
so when I issue the command
I discover my problem so is this recoverable ????
What are the possible actions that you suggest for me ????
Your support is highly appreciated :)
Yes one Node has finally joined the cluster but the other still can't
Do I need to restart the second node after redefine new quorum device ?
and there's one thing that I think worth mentioning is that when I issue the command
I can't find the owner
no one of the both node has the ownership ?? is this normal after deleting the quorum device or what ??
I would recommend rebooting the other node. I do not know how you configured a new Quorum device, but I am sure the other node does not know about it. During reboot, it should be able to contact the node in the cluster and receive the information about the new QD.
BTW: you must have seen a warning when you deleted the original quorum. Or did you destroy the whole LUN?
The question about ownership of the metasets depends on the configuration of any cluster resources that may use them. As long as the metaset is not part of any "online" resource it is normal that there is no owner.
Yes Actually I destroyed the Lun Completely from the storage side as it was Data LUN and I didn't notice that it was the quorum device
so I'll go try add the new quorum device and reboot the other node and see how it goes
hopefully this will solve the issue
