Distributed Transaction on non-windows?
May 24, 2012 11:30 AM
I'm using TransactionScope in my .net code to begin a transaction between 2 oracle databases, it works if these 2 Oracle are both installed on Windows, but will it work if they are on Linux or AIX?
I have the same question

Don't forget to run oramtsadmin.sql on the Linux/AIX db to set up the recovery jobs/objects. The script doesn't come with a non-Windows install, so you'll need to copy it (or run it from) the Windows client machine.
