The approver must always login to make the approval of a new user or change to user account. We are not using any out-of-box functionality.
What we are trying to do is:
When notifications go to multiple users, such as UGM admin group, that the person who workflows the change indicates from the comment, WHICH admin needs to make the approval based on some internal business rules. We are trying to save the effort of some users, who do get the notifications but are not the "official" approver by our standard, from having to login to check to determine if they are the appropriate approver or not.
There is no way to configure the e-mail that is sent.
You can accomplish your goal by using multiple approver groups. You can create a UGM group for each approver(s). The admin creating the user change request would select the appropriate group and only those in the selected group would be notified.
The groups would need to contain the [UGM_USER_APPROVER] role in order for them to show up.
