The testing link is using, the host:port/contextroot. Note that the URL is per default not accessible and give justly the 403 forbidden error.
When you have an index.jsp (or something similar) in the root of your Web application it will automatically load that one, otherwise
you will get the forbidden message.
I am not using jsp pages. I am using velocity instead. Therefore, I cannot add any jsp page in the context root. Is there any way I can get the application to function the same way it functions in Tomcat?
You could try adding an index.html in the root of your web app.
I can add index.html to my root and I would be able to access it but I still won't be able to access the velocity components that actually make up my entire website.
