We are on Oracle 18.104.22.168 on Linux. I am exploring the Audit vault product for auditing. Ours is a web application where the web application users are not database users. The database connection is via the same schema name whereas application users not known to the database. We want to audit which application user did a particular action. Other details like how to set up capture rule for audit vault etc are clear to me. However what I want to know is that, if we use client_identifier to set and retrieve the identity of the application user, can that information be saved in audit vault? In audit vault by capture rule defined on tables, we know which table was modified , at what time, what was before value, after value and so on. But can it store the value of the client_identifier? If yes what needs to be done by me in the audit vault configuration for achieving that?
