    Migrate Oracle to Oracle

      Oracle, Solaris: 10 (SunOS usahsarmp090 5.10 Generic_144488-17 sun4u sparc SUNW,Netra-440)

      Oracle, RHEL 5.6 (Tikanga)

      I am considering two approaches:
      1) Datapump export to a NFS, Datapump import to Target db(same version 10g- from NFS, Upgrade Target Db from 10g( to 11gR2 (
      2) Install target db ( and do a Datapump Export/Import straight from the db to db

Which one is preferable.. current the database size is quite small - 50GB. My gut feeling is all will be over in 2-3 hours maxed out (provided we have the degree of parallelism set properly, network/NFS storage are enough).

Any suggestions/advice will be greatly received :)

      Best Regards,
