I checked the emoms.log and found a error from a bad package body named EMD_NOTIFICATION. I checked the PB and it was invalid. I recompiled it and now it is valid. I will let you know what happens!!!
Good news almost. The "Page Refreshed date is now current and most of the information seems to be uptodate date except for the "Last Backup". It has stopped updating. Does anyone know from where or how this value is keep current?
I've got the same issue on oracle 10g. PB EMD_NOTIFICATION status is invalid...recompiling throws up errors. Any ideas?
I have experienced the same problem on a brand new installation of Oracle 10g. A look at the emoms.log file (as another poster suggested) shows that the package body SYSMAN.EMD_NOTIFICATION had errors.
I tried to recompile this package and got errors. Specifically, I noticed in the compile error message that it was looking for packages UTL_SMTP and UTL_TCP, on which I had recently revoked execute privileges from public due to an alert in the Policy Violations section of Enterprise Manager. I granted execute privileges back to public on these two packages and then recompiled the package. Now the Database Home Page loads properly.
I do not know enough about Oracle to know what the ramifications are of allowing the public role to execute these packages. I am wondering if I may have misconfigured (or failed to configure) something else somewhere else. Luckily for me this is a test system that I am playing around with on purpose.
