yes you can
Step 1: Pre-create tablespaces on target 11g database
Step 2: Export full database of source 10g database
Step 3: Copy dumpfile over network to development server
Step 4: Grant IMPORT_FULL_DATABASE system privilege to user SYSTEM of target 11g database
Step 5: Import full database to target 11g database
No , you don't need .
I have to import data into a 11g database from the export dump file of a 10g database.Possible ,you can export 10g data into 11g data by expdp-impdp or traditional exp-imp.
before importing 10g dump into 11g you need to create database in 11g by dbca.
Kindly advice if this is possible, and if yes, do I need to ru the catupgrd.sql again after import completes?no need to run catupgrade.sql as when you create database in 11g home by dbca it will be created for 11g version so no upgrade required.
