    Importing old published UPK simulations

    Pip
      Hi

We have a large number of old UPK content files that were generated in version 2.7.1 and published and are running ok. However, we no longer have the source files to make the required amendments. Is it possible to import this published content back into UPK 3.5.1? I cannot locate any .odarc files - would they exist? Does anyone know if it is possible to do this and if so what are the steps as it would save a lot of re-work.

      Thanks

          Hi Pip,

You cannot "import" content that has already been deployed.
In other words, created content cannot be "reverse-engineered" back into UPK developer.

If you do not have the original 2.7 developer content, you will not be able to convert - you will have to re-record/create the content.

Remember, an *.ODARC file is an export from the developer itself, so it is a representation of the UPK developer content, and not content that has already been published.

Hope it helps - even though its not the solution you wish for...
