    Strange OracleTextSearch behaviour

    Jaap Spiering
I'm seeing some strange behaviour in my 11g PS5 Content Server with OracleTextSearch enabled.

When I'm logged in as an Administrator user my srfDocSnippet search results look fine. I search for a string and I get highlighting like this:

      Oracle WebCenter installation and configuration.docx [ DEV006604 ]
      (HTML) Content ID: DEV006604
Hoofdkantoor • Buying & merchandising o Winkel • AGF, panklaar en sappen o (to be continued) Installation

now I log in as a regular user, and the highlighting for the same search looks like this:

      Oracle WebCenter installation and configuration.docx [ DEV006604 ]
      (HTML) Content ID: DEV006604
      ... z43313030304E6574 Installation...Winkel • AGF, panklaar

Suddenly a new result pops up: The string z43313030304E6574 is returned for every search result, regardless of my search string.
      What is z43313030304E6574?

If I do a search for the string z43313030304E6574 (regardless of the user), 868 out of my 902 content items are returned. What is this value, why is it indexed for everything and why am I getting it in all search results when I'm not an Administrator?

          Hi ,

Can you post what exactly are you testing / steps so that I can check and analyse it .

          Thanks

It looks like those z9587259 codes represent the security group. I now have a query:

            preparedQueryText: ( (xMN_FAQCategory <matches> `AOW`) ) <and> (xRegionDefinition <matches> `RD_FAQ`)

            which is turned into:

query(live): ((((((( ((AOW) WITHIN xMN_FAQCategory) )) and ( ((RD\_FAQ) WITHIN xRegionDefinition) )))))) and ((((idccontenttrue NOT ({z504D45} WITHIN zdSecurityGroup)) and (idccontenttrue NOT ({z536563757265} WITHIN zdSecurityGroup))) and ((((idcnull) WITHIN dDocAccount))))) [1,200] sort(dInDate Desc)

I guess it's just unfortunate that it ends up in the srfDocSnippet for highlighting then.
