Gateway Authentication

Hi

I have install a siebel gateway on a physical machine. Later I install a siebel Enterprise (A) and then followed by installing siebel Enterprise (B) on the same machine.
Everything is running well for a few months now until I change the SADMIN password for siebel Enterprise (B). When I tried accessing view Server Management and backend using srvrmgr I could open gateway configuration.

After further investigation , I found out the regardless of which enterprise, the gateway actually uses siebel Enterprise (A) SADMIN account to login. This can be replicate when I change SADMIN enterprise (A) password to be the same with SADMIN Enterprise (B).

The questions are
1) Is this an expected behavior that the gateway access is always base on the first enterprise installed?
2) Else , how can I point the gateway to look at different DB for access right.

Hopefully someone can shine some light into it? If best can able to provide metalink ID.

    Joey,

    1. Yes, the authentication parameters are based in the first enterprise installed.

    2. Check the gateway.cfg file under gtwysrvr/bin folder and make sure parameters below match the values for the enterprise B. Restart the Gateway after changing these parameters.

    [ServerDataSrc]
    ConnectString
    TableOwner

Document below has more information regarding gateway authentication:
