Hi Pratik,1 person found this helpful
Usually, you have to provide the email server details during the installation where OSM Installer requests to input. If you have an environment already installed, then one has to have unpack oms.ear file and update the details I guess(Am not sure where it is exactly).
Otherwise you can re-run the installer on the same domain and select "Custom Installation" then check "Server" only. Provide the same details as in last run and during the email server details screen, provide the Email Server, port & email id and complete the installation. This way you can configure it easily.
Once you configure email server details, Login to OSM Admin Client and in the user tab, select the particular user and right click properties, their provide the email id and don't forget to refresh.
Run Time :
When you add this particular user to the Workgroup/Roles (which has some tasks with email notification plugin defined), automatically this user gets email notification from the Email Server, port & email Id provided during installation.
For Eg: From/To of email looks like below.
From : email Id provided during installation.
To : User who is added to the workgroup

Thanks for the information. We had similar kind of requirement.
We did the configuration that you have mentioned above. and now the getting the email Notification successfully as per the Template.
"You have a notification for Order ID ID number and notification ID notification ID. Use the following URL to connect to the notification details: url”.
The actual message getting generated is:
You have a notification for Order ID 9622 and notification ID 65817.
Use the following URL to connect to the notification details: http://osmdev1-z1:7001/oms/control/orderNotificationHistory?OrderID=9622
The issue is.. the url is incorrect. osmdev1 is our ENV_ID, z1 - not mentioned anywhere and the port number (7001) is default. Can u suggest, in which file should I change these configurations? so that the url is pointing to correct host and port and not having "z1".
