I know we can influence the report language by changing the language in User Preferences -> Report Parameters. I was wondering whether it is also possible to specify the language in the report parameter popup applet?
With BIP on 18.104.22.168 I can check the "parameters" option in the report definition to make a "popup" appear prior to report creation, and specify all kind of parameters, but I didn't find a way to change the language.
I tried parameter names like "ReportLanguage" or "Language" but none seemed to work.
Any help is appreciated.

well it's not actually a defect, I just don't know the correct name of this parameter. "LanguageName" was just a guess, but it doesn't work.
So I hope someone has already tried changing the language of a BIP report using a parameter and can tell me how it needs to be named.
I am not sure if there is a parameter for language selection, but based in information below the language select may appear if 1 to 3 are not set:
This is something I haven't tested, you may give it a try.
Hope it helps,
thank you. You are right, it looks like Siebel would somehow bring up a language dialogue when options 1-3 are not set. I tried it, but nothing came up :-) Unfortunately this option 4 called "Run-time selection" is not described in detail anywhere in the Reports Guide.
Guess I'll have to keep on searching. Just thought someone here might have stumbled over the same question?
Thanks again Wilson
Ok, I have digged further and found Doc ID 1226744.1 with a user interface enhancement regarding runtime parameters, it seems you need to set a report with Parameters option set to true. Here's the section with instructions to change this option:
Hope it helps,
exactly Wilson, this is what I tried!
I already checked the "parameters" option for a report - but I don't know how to name a parameter which influences language. Don't even know if this is possible at all :-)
But never mind, it's not so important but would be interesting to know.
