      I have two hosts ssux0049 and nus642.

      ssux0049 can ping nus642
      nus642 can not ping ssux0049

Here are few details that you might be interested to look at.

1.> DNS can resolve the hosts
      nus642 # nslookup ssux0049
      Server: 144.132.81.10
      Address: 144.132.81.10#53

      Non-authoritative answer:
      Name: ssux0049.example.com
      Address: 10.106.192.220

      ssux0049 $ nslookup nus642

      Name: nus642.in.example.com
      Address: 146.132.2.6

      2.>
      nus642 # ping -a ssux0049
      no answer from ssux0049(10.106.192.220)
      nus642 #

      ssux0049 $ ping -a nus642
      nus642 (146.132.2.6) is alive
      ssux0049 $

      3.>
      nus642 # ifconfig -a

traceroute: Warning: Multiple interfaces found; using 10.86.219.32 @ ixgbe2005000 --> Should it be using this gateway as per netstat output? If no, can I change
traceroute to ssux0049 (10.106.192.220), 30 hops max, 40 byte packets this to some other available gateway?
      1 10.86.208.3 (10.86.208.3) 0.372 ms 0.262 ms 0.193 ms
      2 * * *
      3 * * *
      4 *

I have checked gateways can be pinged. Let me know if you need more details to resolve this issue.

      Thanks,
      DR
