Hi all geniuses, I am new to weblogic cluster and currently working on it. I did setup a session replicable clustered application servers pointing to a RAC databases. We do know both session and database are capable for failover, but we are not sure whether it is capable for a database transaction be replicated when one side of application server died. Can anyone tell me weblogic replication can handle such case.
1. user connect server1
2. user save sth via server1 to database
3. server1 die
4. user is shifted to server2
5. ideally data should be continue saving to database and transparent to user.
DB connections are unique between servers As they are directly tied to the socket and the client.
But, on the other server it will get a new connection and do the read and writes
Read the below
In such case try to use Database leasing.
In such a case services would get migrated and you and see the transaction will be picked up.
