Setup the profile option "PO: Use Need-by Date for Default Autocreate Grouping" value as "Yes" in the site level and try autocreating multiple requisitions to a single PO.
Once the above is setup, you will have one-to-one requisition and po line, otherwise multiple req lines for an item will be grouped to a single po line having multiple distributions.
I tried the mentioned setup "PO: Use Need-by Date for Default Autocreate Grouping" but did not help. The result is the same. But I tried to understand the logic. The system "want me" to buy the "cheaper" from the same items from different PRs. For example one line with 100 EUR and one line in 150 EUR is massed to one line with 100 EUR.
So do you think is it possible the change on this functionality or try to "live with this"?
Hi Mahendra, Thanks for your help, but I did not find anything in this post what would help.
Hi Szabolcs,1 person found this helpful
Please refer to metalink note - 206256.1 to find the solution to the price grouping problem.
Follow the mentioned step to get multiple PO lines for multiple req lines of an item with different prices.
I am explaining you after doing on my test instance 11i (188.8.131.52).
(1) If we are going for Autocreate with Grouping = Default , it will consolidate the PR line.
(2) If we are going for Autocreate with Grouping = Requisition , it will create a separate PO line even though there is a same item and
same Need-By date on PR level. Also price will remain intact as per PR line.
In both the case, please set the following profiles to NULL value.
(1) PO: Default Requisition Grouping
(2) PO: Use Need-by Date for Default Autocreate Grouping
