Item Import (INCOIN) completed error with out processing the records

    634151
I am trying to Import Item through Open Interface.

      RDBMS : 9.2.0.5.0
      Oracle Applications : 11.5.10

      Populated data into mtl_system_items_interface with process_flag = 1.

Once I run the "Item Import" program it completes with error, with the following in the log file.
The records are not yet processed and still the process_flag = 1 only in the interface table. but there are no error details in mtl_interface_errors for those corresponding records in the interface table.

How do I identify the error?

          Hi,

can be caused by lots of different issues.

Have a look at following note on oracle support pages:
Understanding Item Import and Debugging Problems with Item Import [ID 268968.1]

Try with one record only, ensure that you commit before starting the import program. Verify what you put into column set_process_id and what you are passing as parameter "Batch ID" to the import program, it should match.

Ensure that organization_id's are matching, e.g. for new items you should have the master organization id in your interface table. Maybe you can post your statement that you use to populate mtl_system_items_interface and what parameters you are passing to the Import Program, that will help people to understand what you are trying to achieve (update, create item etc.)

          regards,
          David.

            Hi Dear,

David is also right that there may be lots of causes for this issue still you try with following.

Following minimum values you have to pass to mtl_system_items_interface.

            (1) segment1, segment2, segment3, segment4 or inventory_item_id
            (2) process_flag = 1 mean pending
            (3) set_process_id
            (4) organization_id
            (5) transaction_type = 'CREATE' OR 'UPDATE'
            (6) created_by
            (7) creation_date
            (8) last_updated_by
            (9) last_update_date
            (10) description (for creation of new items)

Also, pass the other values you want to create or update .
