Hi - can anyone tell me if it's possible for a non-global zone to be an NFS server? We have a number of T4-1 servers and I'd like to create a basic non-global zone that has a file system of a ~200G or so storage for packages, patches, software etc that other global zones can NFS mount to make use of.
With Solaris 10 it is not possible.
With Solaris 11 it is possible. In Solaris 11 the Zones have their own TCP/IP stack instance in the kernel and the kernel is able to run an NFS server in a non global zone.
