whats the best method to migrate exp or expdp or rman??
if you're going to use exp or expdp then you have to create database on new host with dbca and perform import by imp or impdp and you will be on 11g once import done...simple !
but if you use rman to take backup and restore on target then you have to perform database upgrade.
i would suggest you to perform expdp-impdp if database size is small and you've downtime to afford this activity.
I suggest to go wiht RMAN instead of datapump utulity. Because If you have lots of schema,trigger etc. you need to recheck them after import.So I prefer to go wiht RMAN
