    Does APEX runtime require the apex listener

    lostintime
      I have installed APEX development in one database instance with the standalone listener on another server and want to install the APEX runtime in another instance.
      We have developed many interactive reports using the development instance.

      On the runtime instance I have installed apxrtins.sql in the database.
      I have installed the listener for this runtime environemnt in another server but when I try to access it vie a browser Iget:
      Error     ERR-1014 Application not found.
                application=4500 workspace=10

      Does the runtime architecture also use the listener? and if not how does one access the interactive reports?
      I understand they must be exported/imported.
      But how does the end user access the reports in the runtime environment without a web based architecture?
      Thanks in advance!

          Looks like you are trying to access the Application Builder in runtime environment with a URL like http://host:port/apex.
          It won't work because runtime means no builder.
          For how to run applications as an end user see http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23903_01/doc/doc.41/e21679/deploy_app.htm#BABFCBAI

          You will have to run the exported sql file then connected to the appropriate schema in your runtime environ, simply because you do not have Application Builder to import using Wizard.
          See http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23903_01/doc/doc.41/e21673/overview.htm#HTMIG366 and http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23903_01/doc/doc.41/e21678/adm_mg_service_set.htm#AEADM195

          Development or runtime, a web server is required. ApexListener is one of the supported webservers. See http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23903_01/doc/doc.41/e21679/intro_app.htm#TDPAX01002

          You have to configure 2 separate Standalone ApexListener instances, one pointing to each of the 2 environs you have.

          Cheers,
