We are using Sun IdM 8.1 application which is hosted on tomcat application server. We are using 3 server instances, which points to the same repository database. The memory for 2nd and the 3rd instance is less.
But everyday, the javacore and the heap dump files are getting created frequently which is consuming lot of disk space and we are getting lot OutOfMemory exception and the server performance is very low.
Can anyone suggest on how and where the heapdump file generation canbe disabled? Will disabling this option cause any problem to the application?
Thanks in advance
you should solve your "OutOfMemory" issue. When that's solved you will no longer get these javacore and heap dumps generated. The heap dumps are generated because of the OutOfMemory Exceptions.
For the OutOfMemory errors there is another thread which might help you to solve that: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError
