The error usually means there is a blank space somewhere in the path or the filename.
You can always delete the files from the file system manually.
you are right about the spaces, I wish I could show you a screen snip. there appears to be some sort of data corruption in the essbase administrator files. once I deleted the file as you suggested, I looked into the administrative server properties and this is what I saw
Shared Services server name
Everything else looks ok there.

Any idea where it's picking up these values from? I looked in /opt/Oracle/user_projects/domains/EPMSystem/servers/EssbaseAdminServices0 but didn't find anything.
Issue resolved problem was on the workstation, not the server.
What was resolution on your workstation that you implemented?
