      Hello,

      on the way to repaire a physical standby database by using URL

      http://www.idevelopment.info/data/Oracle/DBA_tips/Data_Guard/DG_53.shtml#Physical%20Standby%20Database%20Lags%20Far%20Behind%20the%20Primary%20Database

      --try to do this step as article mentioned:

      9. Connect to the physical standby database using RMAN and restore the standby control file.

      RMAN> restore standby controlfile from '/u04/oracle/dg_staging/ForStandbyCTRL.bck';

      ##what I do like below: ( in the standby database server, and standby database is in nomount mode)

      xxx:/work/backup_8_21-> rman target sys/xxxx@pwms

      Recovery Manager: Release 11.1.0.7.0 - Production on Tue Aug 21 17:14:10 2012

      connected to target database: PWMS (DBID=3463310219)

      RMAN> restore standby controlfile from '/work/backup_8_21/ForStandbyCTRL.bck';

      Starting restore at 21-AUG-12
      using target database control file instead of recovery catalog

      feel confused, in the article, the database must be in "no mount" mode, how can I do?
