what is the similar subevent in multiloadaction as startmapproces(urgent)

Hi

i want to know the subevent for multiload action event just like startmap process for import action.
updating worktable code works fine for single period load with startmap process i am trying to use the same code with aftimporttext in multiload action but it does not work so i would like to know what would be the similar event for this in multiload.

please help

Hi

I've just replied to your other post about creating and running a debug script. From the API guide only you have picked the logical option, others could be BefValidate again in the MultiLoadAction as the API guide implies that this runs before the BefProcLogicGrp and BefProcMap events.

As I say in your other post it is worthwhile running the debug script to see exactly what event order you see in your environment and then use that to pinpoint where you need action. Try to step through it a bit at a time so check-in, review, import, review etc.. at each step if you can check the underlying data table to see at what point the action you are looking to change has happened.

It is an iterative process and can take some time, but if it helps you get it right....

Hi Stuart,

how can we check the data, the work table gets deleted i tried to abort the import/validate process in between and thought the table remains in database but it doesnt. to check the tdatamapseg table we need to findout which seg belong to which location and update the appropriate table

i made the code to work now i am using afttextimport itself but updating the tdataseg table directl which comes directly to the mapping table

Hi

Yes you are correct, to update the tDataMapSeg table you need to determine which of the segment tables a particular location is using, you can usually do this from the tPOVPartition table in the PartSegmentKey field.

Were you looking to update the mapping table itself or just update the mapped value post import?

i was actually looking to update the dataset while import itself so the target key UD4x will get assigned when the validate is clcked.
