Error ORA-01017

I'm writing an ASP application using Oracle 8i backend. I have USER and PASSWORD tables that store passwords. At the code line: connection.open "DSN:SomeDsnName", I get the ORA-01017 error. I'm set up as DBA (and Connect) in the database; I can log into Enterprise or any other Oracle utility using the same user name and password that I get an error on. I've granted object privileges on the password tables....anyone have any ideas/solutions? Thanks in advance-
