    Navigation Engine not able to process request

    Saleh Poonawala
      Hi All,

      I am going to the Endeca Reference Applicaiton at

      http://localhost:8006/endeca_jspref/controller.jsp

      After that, in the section "misc_ene_switch", I specify:

      host - localhost
      port - 15000

      and click on 'Go'

      I get the error as below -

      ENE error - ENEException com.endeca.navigation.ENEException: Navigation Engine not able to process request 'http://localhost:15000/graph?node=0&offset=0&nbins=10&irversion=614'.

      Can somebody please suggest what could be the reason?

      The versions I am using are as follows

      CAS - 3.0.2
      Developer Studio - 6.1.1
      MDEX - 6.2.2
      Platform Services - 6.1.3

          This issue occured becoz Your dgraph is still pointing to the older version of Mdex.

          Go to appconfig.xml file of your application.Set the back_compat flag to 614.

          <dgraph-defaults>
          <properties>
          ..........
          </properties>
          <directories>
          .................
          </directories>
          <args>
          ......
          <arg>--back_compat</arg>
          <arg>614</arg>
          </args>

          </dgraph-defaults>

              Either you've got a version of Workbench (port 8006) that is older than MDEX 6.2.2 (check the Compatibility Matrix to find out the correct matches) and the endeca_jspref shipped with it is using 6.1.4 jar files, or there is a release bug with Workbench and the JSP ref is shipping with out of date jars. You can update the jars in Endeca/(ToolsAndFrameworks/3.1.0 or Workbench)/reference/endeca_jspref/WEB-INF/lib/ with the ones from PlatformServices/6.1.3/lib/java , that should sort it out. Adding the back_compat flag will also fix this, but you'll then need to do it for every Endeca instance you run.
