That wasn't what I was suggesting. Make sure there is a Resource named 'admin'. Not a User Name, but an actual Labor Resource. Then go into resources and insert the column called 'Timesheet User Login'. In that column choose 'admin'. Then login to PR.
Let me apologize. I was too quick to assume that this was the typical connection issue related to PR. I went to the PR admin page and was asked to: 'Enter your privileged username and password for the database configured for this application'. That's one of the following depending on your database:
MS SQL Server: username: privuser password default: privuser
Oracle: username: PRIVPRM$PM password: defined during the installation process
I did what you suggested but its not take this user id and password. And FYI this PRIVUSER user id and password for database access not application. In P6 EPPM Architecture there is 3 Different layers. 1)Application. 2)Functions. 3)Database.
P6 connect to Core Enterprise Functionality(Reports, Workflow,Documents,Administration&Enterprise,Projects,Portfolios and Resources), P6 professional conntect to Planning & sceduling Function, P6 Progress Reporter connect to Time Reporting Function, API Connect to Integrated Solutions function, P6 Analytics connect to Enterprise Reporting Function.
All Functions Connected to P6 EPPM main database except BPM &UCM database .
Your privuser ID is definitely the one you need to use administer PR. Since you chose the ID 'privuser', I assume you are using MS SQL Server. Try logging in to SQL Server or P6's Database Configuration with privuser and I suspect you won't be able to since it appears the default password (privuser) has been changed. You need to change the privuser password. Google how to do it with the SP 'sp_change_users_login'.
