    Apex  page  as Iframe using IE

    958488
      Hi,
      I am using Oracle 11g R2 SOE, Apex 4.1.1, Glassfish server 3.1, apex listener 1.1.3, on Windows 7 machine.
      I am using an apex page as iframe on this site: http://www.jumeirahpark-dubai.com/p/list-your-property.html
      but, the iframe works fine on Fire Fox and Google Chrome (it shows up), but it does not work on IE.

      I already enabled the iframe on my application on the security settings
      I tried to use the following code on an application process on load before header.
      htp.p('P3P: policyref="/w3c/p3p.xml", CP="NOI DSP COR NID CUR ADM DEV OUR BUS"');
      but it does not work. the iframe does does not show up when using IE.

      In short,
      I want apex form to show up on this page http://www.jumeirahpark-dubai.com/p/list-your-property.html BY USING IE.

      Regards,
      Water

          You seem to have some syntactical issue on the page. FF is perhaps more forgiving than IE .
          <iframe width="100%" scrolling="no" height="120%" frameborder="0"
          src="http://brown.maxapex.com/apex/f?p=152:4:0::" ;="">
          </iframe>
          Cheers,

            Thanks,
            I already picked a nickname, but apparently it takes some time to be valid.

            I am afraid that this is an APEX bug or problem.
            Using EI , [url http://www.jumeirahpark-dubai.com/p/list-your-property.html]Please click here to visit the site again

            You can see two iframe one based on w3schools page that is working fine on all browsers.
            The other Iframe is based on an apex page. That works only on Chrome and FF, but NOT IE.

            Regards,
            Water

              Have you solved this issue yourself?
              I'm in IE8 and the second frame with the APEX content is now displaying.
              (Can you update your progress here?)

                Thanks,
                I did not do any thing, but I am using IE9. and it is not working on it.
                and I just test it again on another PC using IE8, but not working.
                Are you sure that it worked for you ??

                Regards,
                Water

                  Hello Water,

                  It's nothing to do with APEX. It's issue with IE Settings.

                  IE -> Internet Options -> Security -> Click on "Custom Level" button

                  Navigate to Option "Allow websites to promt for information using scripted windows" and set this as "Enabled". Click on OK button.

                  Refresh the page, you should see APEX page in iFrame.

                  Regards,
                  Hari

                    Thanks Hari,

                    I followed your advice, but nothing changed.
                    Did you try it yourself ??
                    Are you sure that it has nothing to do with APEX ??

                    This site [url http://www.jumeirahpark-dubai.com/p/list-your-property.html] www.jumeirahpark-dubai.com  is public, and I do not think that people will change the setting to surf the site .

                    Again, it is working fine on all major browsers except for IE.

                    Regards,
                    Water

                      Yes. I tested with IE9 and it works fine for me.
                      Are you sure that it has nothing to do with APEX ??
                      Yes, because it's opening fine in other browsers.

                      In IE8, by deafult, it's opening fine. (however I checked the above option and it's enabled by default)

                      Regards,

                        Hello Water,

                        Even though this isn't an APEX issue, I've found the following links that may help you:

                        (In regards to the IFRAME WIDTH)

                        http://www.codingforums.com/showthread.php?t=168832
                        http://forums.asp.net/t/1805679.aspx/1

                        (In regards to the IFRAME not displaying)

                        http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/iewebdevelopment/thread/bc91f16c-99d0-453d-8689-3b6f3f6abe62/
                        http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/netfxjscript/thread/2f95e434-7b30-4401-925e-0739b6227082

                        To demonstrate what's happening to your IFRAMEs, change the source of your IFRAME to be http://www.google.com you should now see a helpful error message: "This content cannot be displayed in a Frame"
                        eg: http://support.microsoft.com/Library/Images/2507149.jpg

                        I hope that you are able to find a solution to this IE browser issue.
                        As this is not an APEX issue, would you please mark this as complete.

                        Regards;

                        Ronald.

                          Hello,
                          We just need to use all parameter of APEX RUL in the iframe source.
                          e.g
                          http://brown.maxapex.com/apex/f?p=152:4:0:::::
                          And Not
                          http://brown.maxapex.com/apex/f?p=152:4:0:
                          [url http://www.jumeirahpark-dubai.com/p/list-your-property.html] Now, it is working

                                The reason is in the hosting company.
                                Try to prepare iframe using an app hosted on your server or on apex.oracle.com, it works fine...

                                Regards,
