I am trying to launch Configurator page from the third party application. I am redirecting to UI via Oracle Configurator Servlet URL (as standard procedure)
URL: http://<Server Name>:<port>/configurator/oracle.apps.cz.servlet.UiServlet
While redirecting to UI page, I am getting the error message as "Application was unable to interpret event information."
The URL is set in the profile options (ASO : Configurator URL and BOM: Configurator URL of UI Manager)
Is there any other configuration required or am I doing anything wrong while invoking the UI page?. Please help...
Assuming you will be passing necessary parameters along with the URL.
For the URL you may follow the below guidelines.
For '11.5.9' or prior releases use ... value="/configurator/oracle.apps.cz.servlet.UiServlet"
For '11.5.10 / R12' releases use ... value="/OA_HTML/CZInitialize.jsp"
Let us know if this helps.
Thank you Piyush for the response.
I tried that option also. But still the same error. It is redirecting to http://<Server name>:<port>/configurator/oracle.apps.cz.servlet.UiServlet page

What version of configurator are you using...the URL does not look correct. It should be something like this:
Try the following to test the response of the servlet:
You should see something like this:
Using configuration software build: 184.108.40.206.5
Expecting schema: 31a
If you are getting the error "Application was unable to interpret event information.", then your URL is correct. I think the problem is with parameters that you are passing to Configurator.
Can you list the parameters you are passing to Configurator url? Refer CZ Impl Guide if you are not sure about all parameters.
Thank you Pankaj.
Sorry for the late reply...
Below are the parameters I am passing..
Database ID, User Name, Password, Item Id, Application Id, Responsibility ID, UI Def Id, Header Id and Revision Number (if exists).
I am passing these messages something like below:
I am able to invoke the configurator page in R12 version, but failing in 11i:(
Can you mention the final xml prepared by code which is submitted to UiServet. You should also try to put that xml message in separate xml file and validate if xml formatting is correct.
I assume that form parameter name is kept to be "XMLmsg". If its different, then also you will get similar error.
