We recently created a metric basis called "Standard", with an ID of "STD". In error, the ID had a space in it so it was actually "STD ". When metrics were created with this basis, they contain the XXX_STD XXXXXX and named ranges cannot be used with a space in the range name in Excel, so field exchange does not work for those metrics.
What is the best way to fix the metric tag? We've since updated the metric basis to remove the space, but that didn't fix the issue. I've tried removing the basis from the metric, but that doesn't seem to work - when I go back into the metric the basis is there again after I removed it previously. I've also tried deleting the metrics from the activity but that doesn't clear it.
You can find your data in table plmFieldExchangeBases and update the description field manually to fix this issue.
Please make sure backup the table data before you start, and the target value you preferred should be unique in table plmFieldExchangeBases.
Yes, we have already fixed the entry in the plmFieldExchangeBases table through the UI. However, we still have numerous entries in the plmFieldExchangeDefinitions table that have the tag with "STD " in them. Can that table be updated directly to remove the space in the tag name?
It appears we have the some of the same values with the space in the calculation field of the plmFieldExchangeDefinitions table, where the fkFieldExchangeType is "CALC". Should we update those as well? I assume they drive the project level rollup of values from activities?
