Presumably you're talking about this exam: *1Z0-144: Oracle Database 11g: Program with PL/SQL*

The topic list is available here:
          http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=41&p_org_id=1001&lang=US&p_exam_id=1Z0_144#3

I wrote a brief article about preparing for the test -- available at the below URL.
          http://ezinearticles.com/?Studying-for-1Z0-144:-Oracle-Database-11g:-Program-With-PL/SQL&id=7170691

The biggest gotcha on this test is the time crunch. There are a lot of questions with exhibits and not much time per question.

Yes -- I took it about three months ago. I studied for the test solely from the Oracle documentation using the topics from OE as a guideline of what to prepare on. I've also been developing in PL/SQL for about 16 years. The majority of the topics (probably 85% or better) came from the PL/SQL Language Reference. Most of the remainder can be found in the PL/SQL Packages and Types Reference. For a small number of the topics I used either the Advanced Application Developer's Guide or the *2 Day Developer's Guide* as a resource.

What I mainly remember from the test is looking at the countdown timer and thinking AAIIIEEE! I am a speed reader and I'm very good with standardized tests like this. Normally I finish tests with 15-25% of the allotted time left. I normally have all the time in the world to mark questions that I'm not positive about so I can come back to them later and spend more time on them. In this test, at the halfway point I'd used up more than half my time. The actual test questions themselves didn't strike me as being particularly difficult, but the need to read through the required exhibits ate up so much time that I ended up being rushed when choosing some of my answers. I passed the test with room to spare (and about four minutes remaining), but some of the missed question areas were topics that I know well, so I'm sure I missed some questions because I was in a hurry and did something dumb.
