Solaris 10* cfgadm: administration not supported

Hello everyone,

I'm very new to Solaris, in fact I've just installed Open Solaris 10 as a Virtual Machine on Proxmox and started tinkering with it.
It happened only when I wanted to configure disks when I saw the following message:

# cfgadm -al
cfgadm: Configuration administration not supported

I've googled it but I haven't done anything but a basic installation. Can anyone tell me what is happening? Any helping hand would be highly appreciated.

Edit:
Some more info:
# id
uid=0(root) gid=0(root)
# uname -a
SunOS solaris 5.10 Generic_147441-01 i86pc i386 i86pc

    I'm not familiar with running Solaris in a VM on Proxmox, but I have Solaris 11 running in Virtual Box
    and cfgadm works fine. See the output below on the Solaris 11 VB. I'm not certain because I don't
    have a Solaris 10 image available, but I would assume that cfgadm would work similarly for
    Solaris 10 in VB.

    Thanks,

    Cindy
