I need to do a web based tool for debugging groovy code, but I am trying to figure out which would be the best way to go. I need to perform basic functions like variables tracing, breakpoints, error line numbers...
Is it possible to use JPDA (Java Platform Debugger Architecture)? Anyone with experience there? If it is not possible to use JPDA, what would be the best way to debug a groovy code?
Thanks in advance
Groovy runs in java.
Java is debuggable via the debugging API.
So naturally you can write it.
Presumably however you know that it isn't going to be easy. And exposing in on the web is going to make it that much harder.
