Siebel UCM  and EDQ matching child entities

We have a Account Entity parent record, the child Address entity can contain one or many Addresses. However, it is my understanding that EDQ will only process the Account parent entity and not any child entities. Is there a work-around for this? The records will be coming in through EIM and then running BDM. Thanks!

EDQ supports matching on address. However, it's not clear whether it supports matching on multiple addresses.
If it's just one address, then answer is 'Yes', EDQ supports matching on address.

    Hi,

    The answer to this is:

EDQ supports matching in whatever data it is given.

The EDQ Customer Data Services Pack and the EDQ Siebel Connector have in-built support for matching contacts, prospects and accounts in Siebel using multiple addresses, as well as multiple other child entities.

However, the version of Siebel that includes the change required to send multiple addresses to EDQ is not yet released. It will be released in the near future, and no upgrade to EDQ will be needed to support matching using multiple addresses and other child entities.

    Regards,

    Mike

    Mike,
good to know that EDQ supports matching on multiple addresses. Can you point to documentation if any?
secondly, Siebel 8.1.1.x with ODQ (IIR) handles matching on multiple addresses. correct?

    if so, what's difference?
    appreciate your response

    thanks

Siebel has a somewhat proprietary interface with IIR. The multiple address capability within Siebel was developed only for ODQ (IIR).

A Siebel change is now close to release to support this with OEDQ, along with matching on other child entities, and using OEDQ for key generation for candidate selection.

    Regards,

    Mike
