Too many processes onto your server ? Who knows ? You did not give the beginning of the minimum required to know somehting about your error and environment you are working on.
Please provide APPSRV.LOG, stderr, sdtout files' content. And also, your OS, Peopletools version.

          Nicolas.

What's your Oracle client wordsize (32 or 64 bit) ?
Are you able to connect onto your database within SQL*Plus ?

The whole problem is below message :-

GenMessageBox(200, 0, M): PS General SQL Routines: Missing or invalid version of SQL library PSORA (200,0)

Solution :- If u r having 64 bit oracle version then install 32 bit client version.

copy the tnsnames.ora and listener file from server and paste in client location.

If you search for ( GenMessageBox(200, 0, M): PS General SQL Routines: Missing or invalid version of SQL library PSORA (200,0) ) on net , you will get 100 solution.

But Follow the solution given by HAKAN.

                      Hi,

                      The following test:

PSAPPSRV.7036 (0) [09/19/12 09:31:25](1) GenMessageBox(0, 0, M): Database Signon: Could not sign on to database ORCL with user PS

Shows that its trying to connect to a SID called "ORCL", I´m sure your PeopleSoft DataBase does not have this name, please check your tnsnames.ora file, from the Application Server machine try a tnsping to your PS Database.

                      Regards,

Sometimes when I boot the domain, the domain started and sometimes these error will occurred.
I've checked the services are all started, database are connected and the environment variables are set correctly but I don't know why these error occurs again.

Do you have any other solutions ?
I have already checked the above solutions mention.

                        Thanks all.

You did not tell us if you installed a oracle 32bit client on your Windows 2008 server. Even if it's a 64bit OS, on Windows, the 32bit oracle client labraries are required for the AppServer.
And what are the circumstances the appserver does not boot. Randomly ? Or anything special happen up front (server reboot, anti-virus turned on, ...) ?

                          Nicolas.

I installed oracle 32 bit client on windows 2008 server.
For the first hour, appserver does boot. An hour later , i tried and this error occurs. I didn't change anything between these hours.

What is running on the server ? Have you checked the load ?
According to the error you are facing to below I'm quite surprise it's working time to time. Reconfigure the domain and retry.
PSAPPSRV.7732 (0) [09/19/12 09:52:18](1) GenMessageBox(200, 0, M): PS General SQL Routines: Missing or invalid version of SQL library PSORA (200,0)

Out of curiosity, why do you want to reboot the appserver every hour ? Are you using the same OS user to start the appserver in between ?
Are you sure your dbname is ORCL ? What means domain HR84 (application module and version ?) ? As far as I know, PTools 8.52 is certified only within app >=HR8.9.

                              Nicolas.

I wana test out isit working for the booting . I'm using the same OS user to start the appserver. dbname is ORCL and domain name is HR84 (just a naming right ? or do i need to name according to ?)

The domain can be anything you want, right, but to me it should be something clear about what it is about. Here you have HR84 which could mean HRMS application in version 8.4. The same is applying to the database name, ORCL does not mean anything.
Again, I have to say that I cannot understand how you can get this error 'only' every other time, or rather the other way around, since you have this error, I cannot understand how it is working every other time.
So, for now, you may want to set a trace level on the AppServer, start it. Keep the logs files, stop Apps and remove the logs. Do it again until the next start failure.
In the end, compare the log on booting of AppServer.
Could you provide the main part of psappsrv.cfg ?

                                  Nicolas.

How are you calling psadmin.exe when you try to start Application Server?
Tools 8.5x releases requires an environment variable so you can choose which is the PS_CFG_HOME. Otherwise it defaults to somewhere in the current user profile directory. This way, if you call psadmin.exe with different OS users and you don't set that environment variable, then you would have a different config for each user.

I usually create a bat script to call psadmin.exe
                                    set PS_CFG_HOME=c:\apps\pt852\HCM91SYS
                                    psadmin.exe

Also, make sure you have tnsnames.ora setup correctly, that you have Oracle client 32 bits installed correctly and check if the bin directory of the correct Oracle client 32 bits is in the path.

                                    Hope it helps!
