identifier 'XMLISVALID' must be declared
Sep 17, 2012 3:07 PM
If i use
result_code := XMLIsValid(p_adu, 'http://www.example.com/schemas/ipo.xsd');
i get error of
Fehler(13,24): PLS-00201: identifier 'XMLISVALID' must be declared
but if i am using
select XMLIsValid(p_adu, 'http://www.example.com/schemas/ipo.xsd') into result_code from dual;
then works. Why? Why i can not use result_code := xxx
I have the same question

Because XMLISVALID is an SQL function only, you can't call it directly from PL/SQL code.
