Can you run this from the Primary and post the results :
Since this works on my test server you have some sort of issue.
select max(sequence#) from v$archived_log where applied='YES';
Check Primary alert logs first and post error
Did you take the standby controlfile backup on the primary database and restore it on the standby database ?
From the primary, try generating an archive by switching the logfile and post the outcome of the below query:
sql>select severity,error_code,message,to_char(timestamp,'DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS') from v$dataguard_status where dest_id=2;I am assuming that log_archive_dest_2 is what that is pointing to the standby database on the primary database.
and also I go to primary database, using rman
rman> restore archivelog from sequence 33383;
(it is running now)
(hope it can fix the problem)..
am I right?
