TSAM tmadmin commands missing on Oracle provided virtualbox image

Hello all

I am using the VIRTUALBOX image which can be downloaded from the Oracle Web site for Tuxedo/TSAM demo

I did not change anything or installed/deinstalled anything

I am wondering why in this installation the two tsam commands in tmadmin are not available. In our company test environments I do have these two commands.

How can I get these two commands to work ?
Why are these commands not available in the installation on this VIRTUALBOX instance ?

Thanks
Martin

    Hi Martin,

In TSAM 11g and later, all TSAM configuration is now done through the TSAM console. This was to avoid having TSAM manager and the monitor systems get out of sync with regards to monitoring policies and alerts. So in the TSAM console you can configure monitoring policies and alert definitions and when you enable them, the definitions are pushed to the monitored Tuxedo system.
