      Hello:

      I am in the process of Migrating and upgrading EBS 11i to EBS 12.1.3 on a x86-64 bit ULN server using Notes 1377213.1

      I have layed down the new applications using rapidwiz as per Doc E12842-04 as root (p3-1 to 19); Configure environment files;Start the new database listener, Implemented and run AutoConfig with some errors as per note 881505.1 steps 20 - 31; Enable Maintenance Mode.

      I am now at step 3.9. Apply AD 12.1.1 upgrade driver (required) (patch 7461070) page 3-5 and haveing trouble merging these three patches
      p7303029_12.1.0_R12_GENERIC.zip
      p9179588_R12.AD.B_R12_GENERIC.zip
      p9477107_R12.AD.B_R12_GENERIC.zip

      My command adn output are:
      admrgpch -s /EBS_12i_downloads/patches/AD_12.1.1/mergesource_dba_CPU_9179588 -d /EBS_12i_downloads/patches/AD_12.1.1/mergedest_dba_CPU_9179588 -merge_name merger9179588

      Executing the merge of the patch drivers
      Copying files...
      100% complete. Copied 0 files of 0...
      Character-set converting files...
      0 unified drivers merged.
      Patch merge completed successfully
      Please check the log file at ./admrgpch.log.

      Rapidwiz installed successfully. I tested installing some patches in the preinstall mode successfully. What am I missing?
      Thanks

          My command adn output are:
          admrgpch -s /EBS_12i_downloads/patches/AD_12.1.1/mergesource_dba_CPU_9179588 -d /EBS_12i_downloads/patches/AD_12.1.1/mergedest_dba_CPU_9179588 -merge_name merger9179588
          When merging AD patches you have to use "-admode" option.
          $ admrgpch
          usage: admrgpch  -help

                 admrgpch  <source_directory> <destination_directory>

                 admrgpch  <-s <source_directory>|-preinstall> -d <destination_directory>
                                     [-master <master upgrade driver. Valid only
                                               with -preinstall or -driveronly options>]
                                     [-verbose <level>] [-merge_name <pattern>]
                                     [-manifest <filename>] [-logfile <filename>]
                                     [-driveronly] [-admode]
          where
           * -admode                    Only AD patches will be merged.
                                                  By default non-AD mode
          More details about admode can be found at http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E18727_01/doc.121/e12148/T531058T531062.htm#adptadmpenh

            I am still getting same results: 0 unified drivers merged
            This is my script:
            admrgpch -admode -s /EBS_12i_downloads/patches/AD_12.1.1/mergesource_dba_CPU_9179588 -d /EBS_12i_downloads/patches/AD_12.1.1/mergedest_dba_CPU_9179588

            I am trying to install patch 9179588 with readme.txt calling for it to be merged:

            1. Merge this patch (9179588:R12.AD.B) with 9477107:R12.AD.B and R12.AD.B.1 (patch 7461070).
            Note: This merge should be a full merge using -admode.
            Do not use -preinstall or - driveronly mode.
            2. Apply the merged patch driver in its entirety.

            I have the three zipped patches in one folder - /EBS_12i_downloads/patches/AD_12.1.1/mergesource_dba_CPU_91795
            p7461070_R12_LINUX.zip
            p9179588_R12.AD.B_R12_GENERIC.zip
            p9477107_R12.AD.B_R12_GENERIC.zip

            How can we handle this for it to work?
            Thanks
            Mathias

              Please try one of the following:

              Option 1)

              $ admrgpch -admode -s /EBS_12i_downloads/patches/AD_12.1.1/mergesource_dba_CPU_9179588 -d /EBS_12i_downloads/patches/AD_12.1.1/mergedest_dba_CPU_9179588 -merge_name merger9179588

              Option 2)

              $ cd /EBS_12i_downloads/patches/AD_12.1.1/mergesource_dba_CPU_91795
              $ ls *.zip > manifest.txt
              $ admrgpch -admode -s . -d . -merge_name merger9179588 -manifest manifest.txt

              Thanks,
              Hussein

                Option 2 worked perfectly. and I am on the move again.

                I lack words of appreciation so
                Thanks very much.

                  Mathias,

                  Good to hear that one of the options worked for you. And, you are welcome :)

                  Good luck!
