    Error while connecting to nodemanager

    965945
      Hi,

      When i am trying to connect node manager using below command i am getting error:

      wls:/offline> nmConnect('weblogic','Webl0gic','localhost','5556','oct')
      Connecting to Node Manager ...
      <Oct 3, 2012 10:53:03 AM CDT> <Warning> <Security> <BEA-090476> <Invalid/unknown

      And here is how my nodemanager.properties file look:

      #Wed Oct 03 08:55:27 CDT 2012
      DomainsFile=C\:\\Oracle\\MIDDLE~1\\WLSERV~1.3\\common\\nodemanager\\nodemanager.domains

      LogFormatter=weblogic.nodemanager.server.LogFormatter
      ListenBacklog=50

      I have made secure listener false in nodemanager.properties file and on weblogic console nodemanager status is reachable and I was able to start managed servers from there. But when I run nmConnect command it throws above error message. Please advise how to resolve this issue.

      Thanks

          Instead of localhost(127.0.0.1) to connect to the nodemanager use the fully qualified hostname name or IP address.

                Hi,

                Its plain and nodemanager status is reachable and I can start managed servers from the weblogic console also.

                Thanks

                  Hi,

                  I see that you currently running with following command.

                  nmConnect('weblogic','Webl0gic','10.195.5.17','5556','oct','plain' )

                  can you try with following way.

                  nmConnect('weblogic','Webl0gic','10.195.5.17','5556',,'oct','< give Domain oct path here> ','plain')

                  Make sure that you are running Nodemanager in background.

                  if still you have issue then run dumpStack() and provide me error stack to us.

                  Regards,
                  Kal

                    Thanks Kalyan, your suggestion worked. I can connect to nodemanager now. But when I run nmStart('AdminServer') command to start admin server I get below error message:
