Hi All,

I have seen a solution here before about a horizontal/vertical freeze of columns.
I tried to search for it again, but to no avail. Can you help me to find it please.

Thanks a lot,
Kinz

    Hi Jari and all,

    I am not sure if I got this java code from you?
    /*     htmldbHscroll 0.0.1 - jQuery Plugin for Oracle Application Express classic report

    ;(function($){$.fn.htmldbHscroll=function(opt){
     opt=$.extend({
      width:400,
      columns:1,
      report:"table:first",
      parent:"td:first",
      dummyHeight:9
     },opt);
     return this.each(function(i){
      var tbl1=$(this).find(opt.report);
      var t=tbl1.parent(opt.parent).css({"vertical-align":"top","right":"0"});
      var r1=tbl1.find("tr");
      tbl1.find("th,td").css({"white-space":"nowrap"});
      var tbl2=tbl1.clone();
      var r2=tbl2.find("tr");
      t.after($("<td/>",{"css":{"vertical-align":"top","left":"0"}}).append(tbl2));
      r1.each(function(j){
       t=r2.eq(j);
       $(this).children(":gt("+(opt.columns-1)+")").remove();
       t.children(":lt("+opt.columns+")").remove();
       if($(this).outerHeight()>t.outerHeight()){
        t.height($(this).outerHeight());
        $(this).height($(this).outerHeight())
       }else{
        $(this).height(t.outerHeight());
        t.height(t.outerHeight())
       }
      });
      tbl2.wrap($("<div/>",{"css":{"vertical-align":"top","left":"0","overflow-x":"scroll","width":opt.width,"border-right":"1px solid #AAA"}}));
      t=tbl1.find("tr:last").clone();
      t.css({"height":"auto"}).children().text("\u00A0").css({"height":"auto","font-size":opt.dummyHeight});
      tbl1.append(t).wrap($("<div/>",{"css":{"vertical-align":"top","right":"0"}}))
     })
    }})(jQuery);
    This is the one I used to create a Freeze Horizontal Pane apps like this one:

    =====================================
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=68056:2

    WS: dev_ws_100
    login: test01
    passwd: abc123
    =====================================

    I mean I was able to successfully create this before....but now I forgot how to do it anymore. Can you give me the steps to folllow please.

    I remember I just cut n paste the code on the page attibute javascript pane. And it just works immediately on the report.

    Where do I set the number of columns to freeze? I remember I edit a portion in the code something like a number like 2 it will freeze 3.

    Does this work on both classic and interactive report?

    Thanks a lot,
    Kinz

    Thanks Jari,

    I also remembered I have a post which you helped me how to successfully implement the "freeze horizontal pane".
    I have lots of questions in that post in which you answered. But I can not find it anymore :(
    Is so very hard to search your own post in the forum, as not all the post will display.
    Can you help me find that post in which you have guided me about this topic?

    Thanks a lot,
    Kinz

    Hi Again Jari and all,

    I got this in the dynamic action:

    $("#report_VH_SCROLL_EMP").htmldbDscroll({freezeColumns:2,width:700,height:420});

    Where does the name "#report_VH_SCROLL_EMP" referring to? Does it refer to the name of my report page? I can noty see a name like this. or it is just a dummy name which I cant all anything like $("#abc_report")?

    Thanks a lot.

    Hi,

    If you mean this example
    https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=39006:6

    In report template Before Rows template should looks like this
    <style>#report_#REGION_STATIC_ID# table *{white-space:nowrap!important}</style>
    <table cellpadding="0" border="0" cellspacing="0" summary="" #REPORT_ATTRIBUTES# id="report_#REGION_STATIC_ID#">#TOP_PAGINATION#
    <tr><td><div id="lh_#REGION_STATIC_ID#">
    And you give to report region static id VH_SCROLL_EMP
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23903_01/doc/doc.41/e21674/ui_region.htm#BABBEJJD

    Hi KinsaKaUy? ,

    $("#report_VH_SCROLL_EMP").htmldbDscroll({freezeColumns:2,width:700,height:420});
    Here VH_SCROLL_EMP is Static ID of that region.

    so give some static id to your region and put inplace of VH_SCROLL_EMP

    Hope this will helps you.

    Thanks,
    Jitendra
