I understand Oracle is now offering IAAS on the cloud and IAAS on the private cloud (customer premise). My question is for the first offering (IAAS on the cloud) Where are the exadata machines located? are they in a 3rd party data centre? or does Oracle host these machines? A list of locations and party names who are hosting the infrastructure would be helpful.

I understand these are at Oracle datacentres located in various parts of the world. SaaS customers in Europe are often wary about their data being held outside the EU and in particular in the US. Therefore, I know that there are datacentres outside the US to cater for this. In particular, there is are centres (either operational or planned) in Linlithgow in Scotland and London for EMEA. There are also centres (either operational or planned) in Singapore, Japan and Sydney in APAC.
Hope that helps!
